News from Monkey Forest Rd. # Seven.

Seven days in Ubud, Bali.

Dear fellow travellers,

“I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it!”

Ever since I started this blog I’ve had a huge dilemma: I could never decide on a language. Because first and foremost, this has always been a place for my family and friends (and those who want to be part of that crew in the future), so they would know where I was and how it felt like being there. So, for my friends back home I wanted to write in German, but for those I met along the way, it had to be English. Which is why each post would raise the same question: English or German? What’s it gonna be today? And I am very happy about something I realized today: Finally one decision I don’t have to make!!! I’ll just do both. Starting… now.

So, today is my last day in Ubud. I’m leaving the Balinese mountains at dawn, heading back to Bangkok where I’ll wait for a dear friend. I won’t say that I will miss this place. That would be a lie. No, I I feel it’s time to go. But I will remember it. I will look back on seven beautiful days I spend with me, myself and I to regain some strength and head back on my very own path, afoot and light-hearted.

PS: As my last treat from the Art Café I chose Spaghetti “Bollo” and home-made Ice Tea…
